Well, I am back from my travels and it’s always good to be home. I survived (thankfully, there was a Chipotle across the street from my hotel, and that’s about five minutes from the office!).
This weekend, we got caught up with Adam and Renee – two of our friends that we never seem to get enough time with. We had a fun brunch at Bump & Grind. They told me the egg roulade dish was safe (it was) and it was delicious. We’ll be back!
The cooler nights and chilly mornings have me in a slump lately. It feels as if it’s just one big cycle: Get up, shower, dress, go to work, come home, eat, iron clothes for tomorrow, watch a bit of TV, read, sleep, get up, shower…. Lather, rinse, repeat. I think what I need is some true down time. We’ve got a busy few weekends coming up at home, and work is very busy. But, life could be worse, so I can’t complain.
And speaking of reading, I am reading Shauna James Ahern’s new book. It’s a must for any gluten free person or Celiac.
I’ll be posting a bread recipe in the next day or two once I get motivated to take a picture and post it. The bread was a bit chewy but I think it’ll be great for some “grilled” sandwiches (hmm, grilled cheese sandwich for lunch this weekend??!) and french toast.
Time to go home. Lather, rinse, repeat.
