I found this recipe on Delightfully Gluten Free, so the credit goes to Cassandra. I tweaked it a bit. Either way, this is sure to be a crowd pleaser. The Artist and I quickly scarfed ours down!
Baked Mozzarella Sticks
10 cheese sticks
1 package Kraft Good Seasons dressing
1 egg
salt/pepper/garlic powder
Leftover gluten free bread
Marinara or spaghetti sauce for dipping
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Process the leftover bread in a food processor so you have fine bread crumbs. Doesn’t matter the amount, as you can always save these for later use. Add the Good Seasonings packet and seasonings. Mix thoroughly.
Beat egg slightly in small baking pan. Put breadcrumbs (just a small amount) in another pan for tossing. Cover cheesestick with egg, then toss in breading lightly. Toss again in egg and then thoroughly coat in bread crumbs. Place on lightly greased cookie sheet. Repeat until all cheese sticks are covered. Be careful – the egg/crumb mixture comes off easily when handling.
Bake for approximately 10-15 minutes until hot. Serve with marinara/spaghetti sauce.

They look great, Steve! Potato chips or bread crumbs, hmmm…mmm…mmm… I got lost in the moment, lol. I think next time I must try your version.
I couldn’t have done this without your version! I would have never thought of this recipe! So thank you!
YUMMY.
Now these look good. I think I’ll pretend I’m making them for the boyfriend so I can justify the calories. That works, doesn’t it?
Thanks so much for this recipe Steve!! I keep trying to make moz sticks in the deep fryer, but it gets too hot…so I tried to freeze the cheese sticks first, but it still didn’t work. I never thought to BAKE them!!!!
