What do you do when you find a gluten free product that you really like, and want to eat it all in one sitting? But you also want to savor it and stash some away for later, so you can enjoy it again. It’s a catch 22.
That’s what I find myself in after trying Pacific Seafood’s battered frozen fish. Yes, gluten free battered fish. I followed the instructions to cook (which normally I think I know how to make things better, but thought, I’ll play along and follow the ungreased cookie sheet instructions). And I’m glad I did. These were golden and crispy and the right amount of everything baked in. If I had lightly greased the pan like I wanted to, they would have been greasy.
Pacific Seafood had tried some of the gluten free products out there and they thought were not too good. They told me a lot of the products read, “Almost like the real thing”. To me, I don’t want “almost like the real thing” – I want the real thing! When they started the research to make a gluten free product, they wanted it to be as good if not better than their regular line of gluten battered fish. It took them over two years to develop the gluten free recipe, and man, they got it right!
And get this – not only are they gluten free, but they’re nut free, dairy free and soy free.
The product can be purchased right now at any Whole Foods in the USA .They are presently talking with their brokers around the country and will be going into more retail stores as well.
I am telling you people – get some Ore Ida fries (which marks their bags gluten free now, for the variety that ARE gf!) and get your self some fish and have some gluten free fish and chips! You deserve it!
I want to eat them all now, but also save them for another day…what’s a gluten free guy to do?!

My kids miss having fish sticks, so this is perfect!
I just bought some of these at Whole Foods yesterday and am eating them for dinner tonight! I can’t wait to try them!
I found out they’re sold only at Whole Foods, and the fish is from the Pacific and Atlantic 00 but not China.
Guess what I’m having for dinner?
