My aunt works for General Mills- I think Betty Crocker is one of their brands?- and apparently some high-up person in the company has a relative with celiac or something…so hopefully we can expect to see more and more GF products from them in the future!
Hey Steve, just wanted you to know that sprouts does have the glutino bagels, I went there yesterday…also they now have their own 8 inch personal pizzas (uncooked- in the deli and frozen) and right now they are on sale for either 1.99 or 2.99, can’t remeber to save my life! I tried one today and it was really good, reminded me of the party pizzas from the gluten days, thinner, crispy crust, way better than Amy’s…they are on sale till next wednesday, great thing to keep in the freezer for those not wanting to cook nights!
Wow, now you know the power of the gluten free dollar! Hope there are some good ingredients in there.
I would like to invite you to join in my blog carnival, Friday Foodie Fix with this week’s secret ingredient garlic! http://www.thewholegang.org. I try to get as many gluten free recipes as possible. Hope to see you there!
All that other stuff I can make, but I am so so excited for GF yellow cake! I thnk were all on a count down till these show up in our grocery stores! Thanks for the oh so tantelizing pictures!!
Hey Steve. Just a quick note to let you know that today’s grocery ad for Albertson’s has the GF Betty Crocker mixes on sale 3 for $9. I just bought the yellow cake mix at King Soopers for $4.29. We’ll be having cake this weekend so I’ll let you know how it turns out!
We’ve tried the Betty Crocker gf brownie mix and chocolate cake mix and I can only say that they were FANTASTIC! Especially the cake… it was pretty much 99.9% like a normal chocolate cake. Moist and soft cake texture, didn’t crumble, and simply lovely. It had a tiny bit of that “gluten free taste” at first bite but it wasn’t noticeable once the slice was gone and the next day it wasn’t discernible at all in the taste. I would highly recommend these and THANK YOU BETTY CROCKER! I already have ideas for modifying and making a certain local place’s famous turtle cake that I’m missing. I think that it will be the cake for my birthday this year!
YES YES YESSSS!!!!!!!! Thank you for posting this picture! I’m BEYOND excited about this!
I can’t wait til they get here. They have to be less expensive that the competition!
XOXO
